Final Tournament Format:

16 players will compete in the final tournament for THROWDOWN!

Stages:

1st Stage

  • 1R – 90 second Freestyle
  • 2R – Trick Battle (Combo)
  • 3R – Trick Battle (Any)

2nd Stage

  • 1R – Trick Battle (Banger)
  • 2R – Trick Battle (Banger)
  • 3R – Trick Battle (Any)

Semi-Final

  • 1R – Trick Battle (Body Trick)
  • 2R – Trick Battle (Body Trick)
  • 3R – 3 minute Freestyle

Final

  • 1R – Trick Battle (Combo)
  • 2R – Trick Battle (Any)
  • 3R – Trick Battle (Any)

Judges

  • JYYF Official Judge x 3 votes
  • Guest Judge x 2 votes
  • Venue Audience x 1 vote
  • NicoNico Live Audience x 1 vote

Every round, each judge vote 1 and player who gets more out of 21 votes (7 votes x 3 rounds) will advance to next round.

After three rounds, each judge vote 1 and player who gets more out of 7 votes will advance to next round.(2016.9.30)

JYYF Official Judges: For freestyles, they will score usually and better clicker gets 2 votes, better evaluation gets 1 vote (no MD applied). For trick battle, each judge sees the technique and overall performance and votes for the greater player for the theme.

Non Official judges: They will vote for the player they feel “better” or “greater” based on the theme.

Best Freestyle Award

All the 16 players will perform 3 minute freestyle in the order of being out of the tournament. Including two freestyle from Final Stage, we choose best freestyle from those 16 3-minute freestyles. (90 second freestyle from 1st Stage is not a subject to consider.)

 

Prelim for Wild Card Spot:

We will have a prelim round on Oct. 8, to determine the Wild Card spots for the final tournament (Oct. 9).

WHEN: 12:00 noon – 6:00 pm

WELCOME PARTY: In the same venue, we will have a welcome party after 5pm.

Prelim Format:

1 minute freestyle (100 pts) + 30 second trick presentation (100 pts) = 200 pts TOTAL

Top 4 will be competing in the final tournament.

1 minute freestyle: Same rule as IYYF 2016 Prelim. Choose one style from 1A-5A. Clicker value will be adjusted between styles like Women and Over-40 Freestyle. Clicker 60%, Evaluation 40% and Major Deduction.

30 second trick presentation: You can perform multiple, fusion or  original style(s). No limit to the number of tricks. One combo, one action, anything is okay. Please show your best skill within the 30 second you have on stage. Within the time, you can have mistake or retry. Four judges will have 25 pts each to give to the player.

10/8: Compete – 2500 JPY (+1 drink / incl. Admission) must pay in advance

10/8: Watch – 1000 JPY (+1 drink) Pay at the door

10/9: Admission – 3500 JPY (+1 drink) Pay in advance / 4000 JPY (+1 drink) at the door *COMES WITH SPECIAL EDITION YYF REPLAY/REPLAY PRO
*Even if you compete on 10/8, you still need to get an admission for 10/9.
